Paul Mumma

Paul is the founder and managing member of Hapax Law, where he represents founders and entities with their corporate legal needs. Paul is licensed to practice law in California and Massachusetts and spent nearly 15 years in operating roles at early- and growth-stage companies — growing and selling businesses, hiring and managing teams, and confronting legal challenges from an operator's seat.

He knows what it's like to need legal support that is pragmatic, responsive, and tailored to the realities of building a company. He founded Hapax Law to deliver exactly that.

Paul received an AB magna cum laude with high honors in Classics from Harvard University and an M.St in Classics with honors from the University of Oxford. He studied law at Northwestern California University School of Law (a pioneer in online legal education) and is passionate about making legal education more accessible across the US.
